What Makes Our Approach & Treatment More Successful??

What's Different About Our Approach To Back Pain, Neck Pain, Stenosis & Sciatica?

Just about everything...

Could It Make A Difference For You?  In many cases, it makes all the difference in the world!

Let me ask you this...

If you wanted to figure out what is causing someone's back or neck pain how would you go about doing it??

Would it make sense to evaluate your patient's spine while they were laying down, flat on their back?

When someone is laying down is their body weight being distributed through their joints?   Is their spine working at all?

Is gravity pushing on their body normally when laying down?

Are You Starting To See My Point??

But aren't MRIs, CT scans, Bone Scans & most X-rays taken while you're laying down?

How can an accurate diagnosis be made of your condition when NO Functional, Weight-bearing information has been obtained?

In my opinion, it's impossible!

To accurately determine the cause of your spinal pain the spine MUST be examined while it's functioning...NOT AT REST!

That means you must be standing or at least sitting.

That way you have gravity pushing down on you and the weight of your body is being supported by your spine.

To sum it up...To figure out what's NOT working (& what's actually causing your pain) you MUST determine what is working & how well.

That's why you need a "Functional Spinal Analysis".

Otherwise your doctors are relying on limited data to determine your diagnosis.

This limited understanding leads to an incorrect diagnosis & ineffective treatment.

Which results in your continued suffering.

Forcing you waste more time & money on treatments that are unlikely to help relieve your pain.

When you're ready to get to the root of your back or neck pain that's when a "Functional Spinal Analysis" needs to be done.

Does That Make Sense??

It's not rocket science.  Just a logical approach to a chronic, degenerative conditions that consistently drain the joy right out of your life.

So where do we begin you might ask?

You and I must start at the beginning.

1-  You & I Need To Sit Down And Review Your History & Recheck Your Current Diagnosis.

I don't mean reviewing all the reports and notes from your past MRIs & doctor visits...at least not yet. Not until your "Functional Spinal Examination" is complete.

I need to maintain an objective point of view and not rely on someone else's opinion of your condition. I need to approach your evaluation with a clean slate.  No preconceived perceptions or suggestions

That means face to face, toe to toe reviewing your history.

You know, when you go to the doctor's office and you fill out all those forms?

Ever wonder if anyone ever reads them?

Well, I do.  Every single word (provided its legible!).

That's why my staff sends you our Patient Application before your scheduled appointment.

You can take your time.   Be thorough.  The better I understand your condition the more likely I will be able to help.

During our first appointment we will sit down and review all your answers.

NOT a nurse, NOT a case manager, NOT a Physician's Assistant.

You & me

I'll ask you to describe certain things in more detail, to give me a deeper understanding how this pain is impacting you.

You'll have my undivided attention.  You and I need to answer some tough questions:

What is your correct diagnosis??

Are you even a candidate for the Spinal Rejuvenation Therapy?

Some CONDITIONS WILL NOT BE HELPED  By This Treatment AND CAN BE MADE WORSE.  Spinal Rejuvenation Therapy is NOT a silver bullet & is NOT right for everyone.

2.  The Next Step is to Examine You From a Totally New Point of View...The "Functional Spinal Analysis"

The typical evaluation for someone with back, neck or sciatica pain includes a brief physical evaluation followed by X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, or Bone Scans.

What do all these evaluations usually have in common?

That's right!

They are typically done with you laying down, flat on your back.

The only type of information you get this way is how your spine is doing at rest.  Your spine is NOT working.  It's NOT functioning.  It's NOT experiencing the force of gravity.  It's NOT experiencing the weight of your upper body pushing down on it.

How can you achieve an accurate diagnosis if you're not examining your spine while it's functioning???

This "Functional Spinal Analysis" is what differentiates my office from the typical. If your doctor does not understand what is Mal-Functioning his treatment will likely be ineffective.

Only

by performing a "Functional Spinal Examination" of your spine will an accurate diagnosis be made.

While you are sitting up or standing I will evaluate the functional capacity of your spine.  Numerous tests will be conducted including:

                    1-Muscle Strength Testing

                    2-Deep Tendon Reflexes

                    3-Computerized SEMG Scan

                    4-Neurological Examination

In fact, you will be evaluated on 5 criteria to determine if you are a candidate for care. After fulfilling each criteria then & only then will the next recommendation be made.

3.  Dynamic Motion X-ray (DMX Study)

To fully determine if you are a candidate for my Spinal Rejuvenation Therapy a unique diagnostic test is likely needed.

A Dynamic Motion X-ray allows me to see your spine in motion. It produces a video movie of your spine.

As your spine moves normally, each segment tips side to side.

This rocking action produces a pumping action which brings nutrients, fluids & oxygen to your discs.  This pumping action also pushes toxins and metabolic waste out of your discs keeping them alive and healthy.

But is your spine moving normally when you hurt?

NOPE!  You're lucky to be moving at all.

So what is happening in your discs?   Are they getting all the proper nutrients to be healthy?  Are they receiving all the necessary fluids & oxygen?

NOPE!

What about all the toxins and waste materials?  They just continue to concentrate, acting like acid slowly eating away your disc & joint.

This is call Degenerative Disc Disease or Degenerative Joint Disease commonly referred to as Arthritis.

MOTION = LIFE

This basic truth can be found all over.  Consider a lovely pond with fish, frogs & lilly pads.  There's a stream coming into the pond bringing fresh water & another stream exiting ensuring good circulation.  Imagine what would happen if one or both streams dried up.

Just like the Dead Sea ALL life would die!

The same is true for you discs. Without MOTION there's no pumping of nutrients in & waste out.  It just slowly rots & decays leading to even less motion and more pain.

And so goes the downward degenerative spiral that I find most patients following.

MOTION = LIFE

That's why I decided to invest in the DMX (Dynamic Motion X-ray) and bring it to the Inland Empire!

It's the ONLY examination procedure that can determine which spinal segments are moving normally & which are not.  NOT an MRI.  Not a typical X-ray.  Not even a CT scan.

Only a handful of offices across the country have this essential technology available.

What else do we need to see...

Does your spine tip normally as you move?  Or is there slippage?

If I detect more than 3.5 mm of slippage from one segment to the next, your spine is too unstable & unfortunately you are disqualified from care.  But at least we know not to waste anymore time or money on this type of treatment.

This examination is essential to determine your potential success.

4. My Unique Treatment Protocol Maximizes Your Results

Each Visit of this comprehensive, Laser Enhanced, Spinal Decompression & Rejuvenation Program will take 60 minutes.  Watch out for providers who cut corners!

Every visit you progress through 3 separate and distinct phases of care.

  1. Preparation*:  During this phase of care you first receive Myofascial Release.  This process stimulates your circulation, relaxes your sore & tight muscles and helps pump out toxins from the soft tissues.

This is followed by Wobble Chair Disc Rehabilitation.  This is a specialized seat used to compress and relax your lumbar spine & discs. This procedure acts as a Warm-up Exercise, and increases your spine's ability to absorb nutrients,       fluids & oxygen necessary for optimal healing.
